Candles are amazing for transforming the ambiance of a room, the lighting in a room and the smell of a room. Chi Candles do all this and more. They are made from soy wax, they burn clean and last long with wonderful scents.
Chi Candles were started in 2013 in California by a husband and wife team. They loved the smell that candles brought into their homes, but they were frustrated by the soot they let off, the amount of wax left in the jars and the very little aroma that was let off from them. They also found out that many candles, made from paraffin wax, contained carcinogenic toxins. They decided that they would develop candles that are hand poured, with long lasting aromas and candles that burn evenly.
We received quite a few Chi Candles and have been extremely happy with them. My daughter is the candle burner and at any given time, there are flames in her room. To be honest, she scares me a little, but because she’s very independent, I keep my thoughts to myself. She burns candles from the time she wakes up until the time she goes to bed.
She loves cupcakes and birthday cake smelling candles. I only say this because everyone has their opinions, but the birthday cake flavor from Chi Candles is very sweet. It’s strong and I make her shut her door because it’s too sweet for me. And, I always get. “But, MOM!” when I tell her its time to turn the candles off.
The other candles we received are much more subtle. They don’t have that sweetness associated with cake baking. I love them and they smell amazing. And, true to what they were designed to do, they burn evenly and without soot. I was amazed. I fully expected the candles to be like all the other candles I’ve purchased in the past. I was 100% wrong.
She does burn them more than I do. She loves the pink mint and eucalyptus for when she is feeling congested. I’m always using essential oils in our diffusers so this is a nice change for us. And, again, the scent can be smelled throughout the bottom floor of our house, when her bedroom door is open.
