Have you ever gone to the store in search for yet another spill-proof cup for your toddler, because the last hundred that you’ve tried have all leaked? Yeah, story of my life. I have spent more money than I’d like to admit on sippy cups for my son, and all for them to fail me. As I stand at the sink washing endless pieces of sippy cup accessories, I thought to myself “there’s really no such thing as an easy-cleaning spill-proof cup is there?”. Until I tried a line of kitchenware for kids called Silikids, I really thought there wasn’t. Not only did their cups intrigue me, but all of their silicone kitchenware items caught my eye.
The first thing I saw were the Siliskin Universal Sippy Tops. This genius little thing can fit over top of any cup. It wraps tightly around, turning virtually ANY cup into a sippy cup. What?! I know, you’re asking yourself why you never thought it, because I know I am.
They have a sippy top, or a Straw Top for the kids like mine that also love drinking from a straw. The Silicone Straws are flexible and don’t break when my tot is gnawing on it like a chew toy. Then, there are the shovel shaped Silispoons that my son can literally shovel food in his mouth with. What other way do kids eat anyways?
My Daughter is teething and loves to chew on the textured handle of the spoon to soothe her gums. She wears the Silibib when eating which has a pocket to catch any food my she drops, and wipes clean so easily. And because its silicone, I can toss it right in the dishwasher, which saves so much time versus having to wash and dry it like other bibs.
The Siliskin Glass Cup is a great way to help my son learn to drink from a big kid cup. It has a shock absorbing silicone protective sleeve, which makes it easy for him to grip. This is perfect practice at the dinner table where he can be supervised with it.
I am so happy to have found a variety of kids kitchen product that are easy for my kids to use and easy for me to clean. This food grade silicone is a great alternative to plastic. All the time I save washing sippy parts, and cleaning up spilled milk has given me more time to spend playing with my silly kids.
