Let’s talk floors. More specifically, hardwood floors and what to clean them with. Bona has developed a line of mops and cleansers specifically designed for hardwood floors and they are SENSATIONAL!
Hardwood floors are getting more and more common. Most of the houses that I visit have them and they are beautiful. You are going to want to keep your floors beautiful and like new, so you have to be very choosy when it comes to what you clean them with. If the cleanser doesn’t say “For Wood Floors” they could leave them looking dull or with a residue. Seriously, how man people say, ‘Hey, i’ll get these beautiful wood floors, but buy cleanser that will dull them?’
I, for one, would not. I am renting a beautiful home while my family and I look for a place to build. The floors in this home are beautiful and I’m sure the home owners would like them to stay that way. And, I admit, I didn’t realize how bad some regular “floor” cleaners are for them.
However, I have discovered Bona. Bona has a wonderful line of cleansers, made specifically for wood floors. They are safe for all unwaxed, polyurethane finished wood floors. Their cleansers are ready to use and Bona has nearly 100 years of heritage. I’m going to share with you what I’ve experienced with their mops and hardwood floor cleansers.
They have several products made for hardwood floors and even products for other types of non-carpeted floors. Their newest product, PowerPlus, is made for those harder to get up messes, where the Microfiber Cleaning Pad is for the normal, day to day cleanings.
The PowerPlus line has a cleanser with a fresh smell. It’s one that is not strong, but fresh enough to let you know it deodorizes as well as cleans. It’s designed to work harder, so you don’t have to. I used it on my floors, and even though they were dusty and needed to be washed, there was a spill or two that had been unnoticed. The pad and cleanser was perfect for this cleaning. I didn’t have to hurt my back scrubbing and it cleaned it in half the time I would have with a regular mop and bucket.
The PowerPlus Deep Clean Pad is different than the microfiber pad because it has a little green scrubbier embedded in it that is safe for your hardwood floors. I didn’t have any scratches or unclean spots on my floors when I was finished mopping. It’s washable, just like the other pads in the Bona Hardwood Floor line and like the others, it features a hanger on the inside so that you can store it out of the way on a hook.

First off, I LOVE that the cartridges for the floor mops are refillable. I also love that there are no batteries or charging needed for this mop. It’s all human made power. This is a great way to clean your floor and not use harsh chemicals.
This mop is seriously easy to use. The cleansing pads are washable and reusable. I’ve washed mine and they are just as fluffy and usable as they were the first time. The pads even have a built-in hanger so that it can hang on a hook, out of your way.
