I am a terrible vitamin and supplement taker. I don’t like to take them in the morning, yet I never remember them at dinner either. One of my goals for this year is to do better at taking my vitamins regularly; but that means my thirty-day supply of fish oil, should only last me thirty-days! And that’s where I started.
4 Tips for Taking Your Nature Made
1. Calendar when to buy more.
After I purchase my Nature Made vitamins from Walmart, I calendar when I will need to buy more. I do this by dividing my serving by the amount I purchased. My main reason for doing this is because I look at my calendar (list view) every day. When I look at my list and see “Buy Nature Made [Vitamin Name]” I am instantly reminded to take them. As an added bonus, it helps me audit out many times I missed my vitamins that month.
2. Don’t “just” buy vitamins during a sale.
If your vitamins are on sale when it is time to buy more, great. If not, don’t stockpile them needlessly because your vitamin requirements may change as your doctor adjusts your dosage. Remember, no matter when you have to buy your vitamins, Walmart is a great destination to purchase Nature Made vitamins, minerals and supplements, no need to wait for a sale.
3. Signup for a daily boost.
If you are feeling healthy, you remember to be healthy and take your vitamins/supplements. Sign up for the Nature Made Daily Boost program HERE for inspiration and information to further your health goals, and to get a sneak peek at what other Nature Made fans are doing to stay healthy.
4. Take Vitamins During Your “Me” Time.
Everyone has a moment in each day that they set aside for “me” time or quiet moments. Some mom’s choose to go to the bathroom, lock the door, and sit on the floor. Other mom’s go for a walk or read. Whatever it is you do in those five minutes, before beginning, take your vitamins.
Each afternoon I ask my teens to help out for five minutes so I can sit in quiet for five minutes. This is when I drink a glass of water, eat an afternoon snack and take my vitamins. Five minutes.
What snack to you eat with your vitamins?
All of my vitamins and supplements require I take them with food. Our favorite afternoon snack is Oatmeal Peanut Butter Balls. They take minutes to make and everyone in my house loves them.
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Peanut Butter
- 1/2 Cup Oatmeal
- 2 Tbsp Organic Chia Seeds
- 3 Tbsp Cold Milled Flax Seed
- 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/3 Cup Raisins
