Before last week, I had no idea that Defense Soap existed. It wasn’t on my radar for any reason, even though it should have been. Defense Soap products have changed my way of thinking and of how I look at my family in terms of their health.
It’s a new year and it’s a time for new beginnings. Each year, millions of people vow (or resolve) to take their health more seriously and want to hit the gym to get healthier bodies. However, not being a complete germ-a-phobe, I didn’t think past the smell of the gym. There are so many germs, bacteria and fungus’ that live in those mats and equipment. Yes, they have those antibacterial sprays in the bottles by each machine that you’re supposed to spray and wipe the equipment down with, but have you got a look at the towel you are wiping the machines with?
“Defense soap is designed exclusively to prevent skin infections and to promote healthy alternatives to skin care for amateur wrestlers and MMA combat athletes. Defense Soap has been promoting the benefits of natural ingredients for the use of preventing skin infections in contact sports for more than 9 years. As wrestlers and coaches ourselves we began by taking a personal interest in protecting our own athletes from contagious skin infections.”
Okay, now that everyone’s skin is crawling, let me enlighten you with Defense Soap. Defense Soap has developed a line of products that help disinfect your clothes, your equipment, help heal your body, defend it against germs, fungus and bacteria. Defend Soap products are made with natural ingredients such as eucalyptus, tea tree oil and jojoba. The smell does remind me of the salve that grandma would put on our chests when we had a cold, but that’s soothing to me.
“These natural antimicrobial agents have been clinically shown, to be effective against MRSA, staph, impetigo, ringworm and herpes. Defense Soap contains no harmful chemicals like triclosan, alcohol or fragrances. The active ingredients contained in Defense Soap include a proprietary formulation of natural essential oils known to kill viruses, bacteria and fungus with minimal disruption of the skin’s natural healthy bacteria.”
I was sent many of the Defense Soap products and I have been impressed with them. I’m not an athlete and will never claim to be one. But these products have shown me that you don’t need to be an MMA fighter to take advantage of the chemical-free products that have been developed by Defense Soap.
My husband is the one who works out in our family, but he wasn’t convinced after he smelled the eucalyptus in the products. But, I’ve been using the salve on his feet, along with the oils. He has horrible issues between his dress shoes he wears to work, his nasty work out tennis shoes and his boots he uses to hunt in. They are softer and some of his issues (I’m not going to go into detail) are clearing up. He really likes the gel body wash, as well. He says there is plenty of lather and it doesn’t have a girly smell. Knowing that it’s helping defend his body from harmful germs, it makes me happy.
Because I am so impressed with this product, I’m going to disclose a use for the essential oils that I had no idea would work. After reading all the materials on these products, I decided to see if they would help me with a small problem I had been having with my toenail. It’s embarrassing to admit, but I had a cloudy toenail (and no, there are no pictures). I had been using all the “at home” treatments: peroxide, alcohol, witch hazel. You name it, I tried it. So, when these products came in, I figured it couldn’t hurt to try it.
I took a bandage and wet the pad with a few drops of the essential oils. I wrapped it around my toe (pad on toenail) and I left it there for most of the day, probably about 5 or 6 hours. I thought no more about it until the next morning when I was showering and looked down at my toe. It was completely clear! I’m not kidding, lying or stretching the truth. My toenail has been cloudy for several years and I have always covered it up with polish. The toenail was looking pretty rough but now it’s just like the other nails.
The essential oils are amazing. There are so many things that you can do with the oils. It’s a combination of tea tree oils, jojoba and eucalyptus. These can be put into shower melts to help with sinus problems, rubbed on your skin to help with colds and flu. They can even be made into air fresheners for a clean, healthy smell.
Among the products offered, there are laundry protector, soaps, oil, wipes, sprays, soaks for your feet. Check out Defense Soap’s website for a full list of their products at www.defensesoap.com.
They are also on social media. Read thoughts from other folks.
You’ll be happy you did.
