IntelliDent Disposable Toothbrush Shield #Review

January 12, 2016 by Pam Maynard

IntelliDent Wellness Products promote “protection through prevention”!

Toothbrush Shield

About IntelliDent

IntelliDent is a woman owned business founded in 2009 that manufactures dental hygiene products. One of their most popular products, the Toothbrush Shield was launched in January 2011. Since then, they have added the disposable MouthGuard Shield to their product line.  Today their protection by prevention products are made in the USA and sold at major drug store retailers such as Walmart and online at Walgreens, Riteaid, and Drugstore.com.

The IntelliDent Toothbrush Shield is a breathable, quick drying shield that covers your toothbrush bristles. It acts as a mask for your toothbrush! Toothbrush Shields are laboratory tested to be a 99.9% effective tool that fights against airborne and surface bacteria. Each shield is disposable and should be discarded after one week of use.

Each box contains 10 Toothbrush Shields that protect your toothbrush by blocking microbes as it absorbs moisture away from the bristles. This allows your toothbrush to be cleaner and your mouth healthier!

Toothbrush Shields are a far better option than using traditional plastic shields.  My husband noticed mine immediately in the toothbrush holder. His first response was “Where is mine?!”

Did you know that simply flushing your toilet can contaminate a six foot radius in your bathroom? Wow! That is sobering thought. For those of you living in small spaces, I bet you’re looking around thinking hmm! Our space isn’t tiny, however, we do have children. Should I say more? Sure, I’ll go ahead and elaborate…

Kids like to play, especially in the bathroom. One day I walked in to find wet balls of toilet paper stuck to the mirror and the ceiling above our toothbrushes. It took me a few minutes to figure out what the white stucco looking balls were. I am still not 100 percent sure what exactly went into the making of them. No one would confess to the offense. Needless to say, there are probably far more “incidents” involving kids and toothbrushes that we are not even aware of!

I am hooked on Toothbrush Shields. What a clever idea! I can’t wait to go on our next trip. It is going to be so much easier and cleaner packing toothbrushes now. Toothbrush Shields are great for home, travel, the office, or grandma’s house!
