Baby Girl has a new dolly that she will not let out of her sight! It is a new doll from Vtech called Baby Amaze Learn to Talk & Read Doll. This cute doll arrived in a cute pink sleeper with a white and pink hat. After placing our Baby Amaze into “Newborn” mode she began to coo and making suckling noises. This made my 1 year-old very curious but Baby Girl wasn’t letting him go anywhere near her baby!
Baby Amaze arrived with three books, an attached pacifier, and a bottle. My daughter really likes the books and will often forget they are supposed to stay with the doll. The books are board books and appropriate for young children who may tear pages made from standard paper pages.
I like that the pacifier is attached because I don’t have to worry about losing it. It has a special shape that will trigger Baby Amaze to make suckling sounds to mimic a real baby, thus, I don’t believe a pacifier that isn’t designed to be used with her would prompt her to make those sounds. A similar shape is seen on the bottle that is included.
Baby Amaze is a new line that uses technology to teach nurturing concepts and developmental milestones for toddlers whose parents want more from their role-play dolls. Your little one can talk to the VTech Baby Amaze Learn to Talk & Read Baby Doll and hear her repeat what they say or read from the three included vocabulary books featuring more than 70 words about animals, food and household objects. The more your little one talks to the baby doll, the more words and phrases the baby doll will learn and repeat!
I wish there was an off switch for the doll because she is sensitive and can be easily turned on — and is loud when the house is quiet! Baby Girl likes to sleep with her and will often trigger her voice/sing/read buttons whenever she rolls around the bed at night. Her noises have woken the baby and scared our dog. I’m not sure I recommend co-sleeping with Baby Amaze if you have a little one that moves about the bed while sleeping.
Mom’s Thoughts:
VTech Baby Amaze Learn to Talk & Read Doll is soft and her command buttons are easy for little ones to push. Our doll has been used daily and can say simple words and request milk, a story, and other baby sounds. I haven’t seen replacement bottles for her, so I hope my daughter doesn’t lose the one that comes with Baby Amaze.
My daughter loves the doll and is rarely without it.
