Pedal to Petal Art Class #Review

December 15, 2015 by Pam Maynard

Disclosure.New.3

I am the least artistic person I know. Of course, I can make crafts, figure things out, make them cute, but I have always wanted to learn how to draw, paint and make it look good! So, when I was introduced to Pedal to Petal, an online art class, I decided that I would take this class.

Kellie Day, instructor and owner of Pedal to Petal has created an all-online class for mixing media, painting and drawing class. There is a private Facebook Page for the students to chat back and forth during their class, swap stories, share tips, show off their work and meet others in their class.

The next class starts February 6, 2016. Please keep in mind that part of the fun is seeing what other students are saying and doing in the comments section below each lesson, and on the private Facebook page. You’ll be able to see what everyone’s questions and comments were from the last course as you go through each day’s lesson.

The way the class is set up, you get a password, that lets you in, and each class is opened, one day at a time. This is such a great concept. You will be able to build up your learning and not “thrown to the wolves”. Students are able to ask questions in an open format, or they can use the Facebook Page. Students will also have access to Ms. Day via email. There is so much support in this class. That is what is missing from many online classes. With this format, there is no reason you don’t get your questions answered.

Students can also go back to the previous day’s lessons if they missed anything. They can’t go ahead, but they can go back and relook at that day, join the discussion or just catch up, if there are any questions.

Ms. Day sends a link that allows students to know what supplies they will need before the 12-day class starts. Supplies are pretty ordinary and can be found at any store that sells arts and craft supplies.

If participants sign up before December 31, Ms. Day is offering a discount. Registration opens November 21, 2105 for the February 6 class.  This class would make a great gift for someone who wants to learn to paint or draw, or just needs an outlet from their everyday.
