There are tons of really great inexpensive party favors available in stores for almost any child’s favorite character, but I rarely see children playing with these toys after the party is over. Most of the time, they get tossed aside the moment they get home and end up in the trash. Instead of purchasing several goodie-bag-style toys to give as party favors for our Lalaloopsy Birthday Party, we opted to give a gift that was more suited toward the theme — miniature sewing/crafting kits! The estimated cost for our party favors is $1 per child and here’s how we did it:
DIY Lalaloopsy Birthday Party Favors
Supplies:
- 10-Piece Heart Plastic Canvas
- Plastic Plaiting Needles
- Baby Blanket Yarn
- Lalaloopsy Party Favor Bags
Roll baby blanket yarn into individual yarn balls (2-3 inch balls). Tuck end into ball and slide a plastic plaiting needle inside each ball. Add ball with needle and heart plastic canvas to party favor bags.
At the party, take five minutes to show children what is inside their bag and how to use it before they leave OR print instructions in advance and tuck them into bags.
