Right NOW the World Food Championships have taken over the streets of Celebration, Florida for one of the coolest food competitions of the year! This is their first year here in the amazing central Florida and everyone is excited to see them. You can join in on the action as a spectator until November 10th! The competition is a LOT of fun to watch, smell, and experience. Something new they are doing this year is their Tasting Village. The Tasting Village is open until 6 pm each night this weekend. GO EXPERIENCE & TASTE this fantastic event!

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of watching everything unfolding AND meet all of the amazing sponsors, in person, AND many of them, on their turf — sometimes literally!
Behind the scenes at Food Fight Write Blogger Summit
Day 1: I joined the summit a little late since Baby Boy was very sick Sunday night. I was beyond grateful that the World Food Championships organizers were understanding of my responsibilities as a mom.
Before I arrived, the bloggers in attendance had the opportunity to meet with representatives from the Happy Egg company. The wonderful ladies who represented The Happy Egg explained the importance of selecting your eggs from farmers who make sure their hens are happy — a happy chicken equals a happy egg! What makes their hens happy? — Their hens are allowed to roam five whole acres of farmland and thus, they are happy about it (so am I)!

Another amazing sponsor who spoke briefly before I arrived was Kansas City Steaks. They have a fantastic catalog of high quality meats that can be delivered to your home (don’t worry, Mom Does Reviews will be reviewing them very soon so you can see everything – up close and with great detail). Their beautiful steaks are what I had the pleasure of preparing for the Food Fight Write competition and will be featured when I share my Trinity Steak recipe with you later tonight!

One of our favorite places to learn about was My Yard Farm. My Yard Farm provides yard farm services in Central Florida and grows vegetables for commercial/restaurant use. We tasted their micro-greens and tomatoes. Look at how amazing my plate was:
The tomatoes were spectacular! I brought them back to the hotel room for my teenage daughter to try and she was in love — begging for me to ask them for more!
Stay Tuned for Day 2 of the blogger summit, my steak recipe, THE COMPETITION, interviews with the World Food Championships chefs, and more!
