These beautiful Sashka beaded bracelets roll over any size hand, and are handmade in Nepal with a great amount of LOVE.  They are hand crocheted by skilled artisan women who live in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. They are covered in small glass beads, added one by one, that shimmer in the light and look great.  

When you chose to shop with Sashka, proceeds from your purchase empower women, who would be in poverty, to rise above it through fair trade.   More than half of fair trade artisans are women who often are the only wage earners in their homes.  Fair trade allows these women to earn an income, while they attend to daily tasks.  Furthermore it provides them with leadership positions and an equal voice in making decisions.

Fair Trade enables sustainable development and community empowerment by cultivating a more equitable global trade model that benefits farmers, workers, consumers, industry, and the earth.

 They carefully create each beaded bracelet using skill, passion, and some of the finest sterling silver beads and glass beads.  The bracelets easily slip over the wrist, and are one size fits all.

Sashka separates its bracelets into three collections.  There is the Boho collection, Wander collection, and the Solid collection.  All three collections have the same quality of bead work and skill, but they differ in color choices and patterns.  The Boho collection has many diverse colors and patterns.  The bracelets shown above are examples of the Boho collection.  This collection also includes striped patterns, bracelets where half is one color and half is a different color, and bracelets that are dotted with two or more color beads.

 

 The Wander collection is a certain pattern the bracelets have in several different color options.  Looks like three arrow stripes followed by dots, repeated with three arrow stripes.  Very pretty pattern as seen below in this white and blue bracelet.

 

 

 

 

The last collection is the Solid collection.  As the name implies this collection is solid colored bracelets in many color choices.  These bracelets are very beautiful and all the attention is on the beads rather than a pattern.  The hues represented in these bracelets are great, and can match anyone’s fashion palette.  There are rich oranges, many yellows ,shimmery pinks, blues, classic whites, mint green.  There are also iridescent beaded bracelets which I have to say are stunning.  Here is a picture of the black iridescent bracelet.  Here you can see the individual beads and how they really reflect the light.  

Mom’s Thoughts

I have to say, choosing from the website was very difficult with so many beautiful choices.  I had to keep editing my cart because I just kept adding more.  I loved so many colors and patterns.  These bracelets are handmade so the choices available will vary.  Quick Tip: If you see a bracelet you adore you will want to snap it up because that pattern might not be available for long.

The box the bracelets come in is very pretty and would make a perfect Christmas gift.   My daughter took a couple of my bracelets and she loves them.  They are looser on her, but not so big that they will fall off with normal wear.
