Peanuts Inspired Recipe

My kids are really big Pop-Secret popcorn eaters but their favorite way to eat it is when I make chocolate covered popcorn. In celebration of the upcoming release of Peanuts we created our own Peanuts Movie Mix #Recipe to share with you.

No, that isn’t pepper on the popcorn – Ha!

Ingredients:

1 bag Popped Pop-Secret Popcorn
1 cup Peanuts
1 bag yellow melting chocolate
Black & Yellow Sugar Sprinkles
(wax paper)

Directions:

Pop one bag of Pop-Secret popcorn. Spread popcorn on wax paper and remove any unpopped kernels (there shouldn’t be many if bag was popped properly).

Add popcorn and 1 cup peanuts to large bowl.

Melt chocolate according to package directions.

Add melted chocolate to popcorn and peanuts. Stir/toss until all popcorn and peanuts are coated.

Pour popcorn mixture onto wax paper, sprinkle with black and yellow sugar sprinkles, generously.

Leave popcorn mixture on wax paper until set (warm homes may require refrigeration to set properly).

Break hardened chocolate covered popcorn mixture into chunks. Serve in bowl, party favor bags, or in individual cups.
