Halloween Party Season is Officially here! Are you ready to host an amazing Halloween Party? Get some help from some of our favorite bloggy buddies with these 20 Halloween Party Ideas!
I love hosting parties and I have a tendency to bite off more than I can chew when it comes to recipes, crafts, and decorations. The 24 hours leading up to the party are usually mass chaos that end with a destroyed kitchen and an exhausted host. If you want to have an amazing party, amazing for you too, get started TODAY! Use the following timeline as your guide:
Three-four weeks before the party, begin working on your party crafts. Do one craft each day – just one – until a few days before the party. You should also start any elaborate decorating (Haunted Houses, Haunted Trail, etc.), and making your family’s costumes.
Two weeks before the party nail down your menu and prepare your shopping list. (Suggestion: Applewood Smoked BBQ is always a great party pleaser that requires very little effort from the host.) This will give you plenty of time to find sales and coupons. Make goody bags and anything that will “keep” until the party begins.
One week before the party, do all of your heavy cleaning.
Five days before the party, start setting up decorations.
Four days before the party, finalize your crafts, costumes, assemble the ghosts and gobblins.
Three days before the party, one more quick touchup of your home. Make sure you gather paper/cloth towels and soaps for hand washing stations.
Two days before the party, start cooking! If your fridge is too full, ask a party guest/close friend to borrow room in their refrigerator.
PARTY TIME! The day of the party the only thing you should have left to do is put drinks on ice and reheat/prepare hot foods. If you are having to do more than this, you didn’t follow my directions (wink).
