My oldest group of kids loved the bath and I never struggled to get them in the tub. Water was their everything and my biggest struggle was talking them into getting out of the bath! My littlest bunch, however, have not been so agreeable. The only way I can get my preschoolers to bathe is with toys – really good toys! Check out three of our favorite bath time favorites below:
Flow N’ Fill Spout by Yookidoo
Our go-to Toy is the Flow N’ Fill Spout. Ever since this neat device was added to our tub my little ones have not complained, not even once, about taking a bath! It is such a neat toy and for those who have little ones who love to play in the faucet as the water is coming in, this toy will save you BIG on your water bill (pays for itself!)
The Yookidoo Flow n Fill Spout suctions to the side of your tub and works off of battery power to pump and recirculate water from the tub. It comes with a few accessories to make playing in the water spout even more fun.
Bath Toy – Yookidoo Flow N’ Fill Spout Bathtub Toy: Make bath time fun! This automated play spout attaches to the tub and offers many ways to play with water. Water is drawn up and through the spout creating a safe and constant flow of water without having the faucet on. Your child will be amazed by the variety of options they can explore . This bathtub set comes with three interchangeable tumblers, each with its own different sprouting water action. The blue tumbler creates a showerhead, the the green has a water wheel, while the red tumbler has a hidden friend inside. Use the tumblers individually in the spout, stack them and watch the water run through all three at once, or play with them freely in the tub for hours of entertainment! All components are mom tested and child safe! Consider your bath time struggles a thing of the past when you have the Flow N’ Fill Spout!
Bathtub Ball Track Set by HABA
The Bathtub Ball Track Set from HABA is a neat toy that doesn’t require any batteries. Children can setup the ball track in anyway they want thanks to the suction cups. We like this toy because of it its versatility. The kids use balls on the tracks, other small toys, or scoop water onto the tracks with the ladle (provided).
Bring the fun and creativity of HABA’s ball track sets into the bathtub! The HABA Bathtub Ball Track Set has pieces that easily attach to the wall of the bathroom with suction cups and can be rearranged into many different configurations. As soon as the tracks and paddle wheel are in place, the fun can start! The ball quickly zips down the tracks, gives the paddle wheel a spin, and finally flops into the bathtub. For extra fun, use the ladle to pour water into the track and watch it run the same route as the ball! The PP-plastic set contains three tracks (7.75″ x 3.00″), a paddle wheel (5.50″ x 3.00″), a ladle, and a ball. Perfect for children ages 3 years and up.
Homeschooling Mama Note: We have also used this set on our glass patio door to play with the ball track outside of the tub. This toy is a great addition to any water station or physics play workshop.
Yikes Twins Hooded Towels
Whoever decided hooded towels weren’t just for babies was a genius! My little ones love hooded towels that have fun characters and can transform those few post-bath minutes into five minutes of fun “pretend to be a [mermaid, alligator, monster, unicorn]” moments. Yikes Twins has some of the most adorable 100% cotton terry hooded towels I ever seen. They transform the hooded towels through embroidery details and applique.
