The Little Tikes Cape Cottage Playhouse is such a cool playhouse because it is petite enough to be used indoors. We have used our playhouse inside our dining and living rooms. It creates a fun barrier for our daughter to play without the baby crawling over to her toys (and stealing them… or eating them).
She plays inside, he stays out!
About the Little Tikes Cape Cottage Playhouse:

• Flag holder (flags are not included)
• Assembly Required
Assembly Thoughts:
My husband and young children were able to assemble the Little Tikes Cape Cottage Playhouse together in less than twenty minutes. My husband tells me that it would have been much faster if his helpers were less overzealous. BUT who could blame them, the playhouse is exciting!
How We Use It:
My three year-old uses the playhouse more than any of my children. She has made her own flag to hang from the flag holder, and named the “street” she lives on. When she sticks her head out the window, she steals my heart.
Funny moment: I caught my teenager hiding inside of it the other day while playing tag. When my kindergartner found him inside he thought it was the funniest thing he had ever seen.
Durability & Design:
I have six children and the playhouse has survived in our home since July. We have moved it from room to room, my daughter hangs out the windows, my son slams the doors and shutters; and it is alive! I think this shows great promise.
In regards to the design, it is a simple plain playhouse with no additional toys inside. I don’t like the doors. We sometimes need to hit/kick them back in on the bottom corners. The door also is flush with the wall of the house allowing little baby fingers to get jammed — I think the doors need to be reconsidered.
Recommendations:
I recommend the Little Tikes Cape Cottage Playhouse to families to use with age appropriate children. I’m not sure how well it performs outside as I have only used it indoors.
