Summer is almost over, have you done EVERYTHING that says “Summer” to you yet? While water is a given, there are several things away from the water that are necessities too. Catching fireflies, tie-dye t-shirts, and neighborhood ball games until the sun goes down are what I think of when I think about summer. I can still remember putting rubber bands around my first white t-shirt when I was six. I was fascinated by the entire process.
When I sat down and examined by list of summer necessities, my oldest daughter quickly pointed out to me that she hasn’t done all of the things on my list. She said she has never tie-dyed her own shirt before. She’s thirteen – how is that possible?
