Is teaching art a challenge in your home school?
Are your children enrolled in a school that simply cut out art because of budget issues?
Home Art Studio Program has the perfect solution!
About Home Art Studio
The Home Art Studio program will enhance a child’s ability to problem-solve, think creatively, and truly see the world around them. The art projects students will complete are designed to illustrate the elements and principles of art in an age-appropriate way.
Students will work at different paces. Please let them go at their own speed to express themselves, while also taking the time to make sure they absorb the concepts being taught in the lesson. Most importantly, keep “art time” pressure-free and encourage your student to think outside the canvas; students are most creative when they’re having fun!
Home Art Studio is an assortment of DVDs that begin in Kindergarten and progresses through the fifth grade. I have three children ages 8, 10, and 13 so I selected the Fifth Grade level for all of them to use. My oldest has been away at camp and I already know she will excel in this program. Her passion is art! However, my youngest has been intrigued with each lesson so far. She has really enjoyed each aspect of the training. This is her skinny clown fish. 🙂
The DVD we reviewed, 5th grade, has step by step instructions in each tutorial. Ms. Volin, the art instructor was sure to add fun facts about each animal in the “Journey Under The Sea” theme. This art curriculum is not only fun, but very educational! In this video kids will travel along with Ms. Volin to the NC Aquarium and to a professional art studio!
In the 5th grade level of Home Art Studio students will learn Sketching, sculpting, painting, and print making along with reinforcing skills already learned. There are 13 projects to challenge your child in the wonderful world of art!
On the website they have conveniently provided a Supplies List that goes along with each Home Art Studio DVD. My children have been able to complete projects with minimal instruction from me. They love to watch the DVD and pause it while they work on a project, then resume until finished. It’s like they have their own personal art tutor at home! I really love it because I don’t have a creative bone in my body. Now my children will get valuable art instruction regardless of my inability to teach it in our homeschool!
In addition, Home Art Studio offers free lessons to give you a general idea of what to expect for each grade level DVD. Have fun and enjoy this back to school special!
