This week I have been digging in the photo swamp trying to find photos I have taken for posts I am working on. My biggest hurdle is that I store my photos by date, this doesn’t help unless I can remember the date I took the photos (and I can’t). I’ve searched through six June folders and I still cannot find the pictures I need. If I had installed PicJoy sooner, I wouldn’t be in this mess.
Picjoy allows you to easily organize your photos. To me, it is organizing them similar to the way you would on your favorite social media site when you share them. PicJoy allows you to tag your photos based upon the people who are in them, create subject tags (like Christmas, Stormy Days, Spring Vacation), and add a description story to each photo. This process creates a more intelligent photo library that helps you find them instantly.
Would you rather organize your photos or……
The video above is a great example of people who need more organization, but would rather not do it themselves. I’m with them, I’d rather not (even if it will save me time later). I don’t have time to create separate folders for each review, family function, sightseeing trip, afternoon drive… that would take forever and I don’t have that kind of time.
Using PicJoy, I can add tags to my review photos, recipe pics, children’s birthday – the options are endless! Now, when I’m ready to finish a review for homeschool curriculum that I have been taking photos for throughout the course of several months, I’m not spending an hour digging for them.
PicJoy Features
A more intelligent photo library that organizes, finds, and records the details behind your photos;
Connects to iCloud (Dropbox, Google Drive, and Amazon Photos coming very soon), making all of your photos searchable from your mobile device;
Search photos by visual contextual clues including: time, location, events, weather, people, etc.;
Customize the way your photos are organized by adding your own “tags” to photos;
Preserve your memories by adding stories to your photos; and
Stories are automatically cataloged, providing you with a personal photo journal.
A little, or a lot!
I think adding searchable “tags” can take seconds and will make a huge difference to every photo. In regards to stories, I don’t have time to add a story to all of my photos, but if I were preparing a photo journal, PicJoy’s photo stories could be exceptionally helpful. I think PicJoy can help you no matter what your organizational goals are – be it a little, or a lot.
Where do they go?
At this time your PicJoy organized pictures can remain searchable when you leave them on your phone/device OR connect to your iCloud. Soon, PicJoy will have the ability to link to Dropbox, Google Drive, and Amazon Photos (until this happens, it is not recommended that you use these services with PicJoy tagged photos as your data stories may not transfer.)
When you need your photos searchable, organized, and
readily available with stories and data, where will you turn?
