Wearing The Insect Costume- It’s not just for Halloween anymore
Whether it’s for Halloween or a special event at school, children have several reasons to wear insect or kids animal costumes. There are also several kinds of costumes to choose from, such as a bumblebee or ladybug.
Halloween is a time when children can dress as almost anything in order to go from one home to another or to a party, so why not let them become one with nature? When you purchase the costume, you can get a pair of tights to wear underneath that blends with the other colors for a completed look. You can also get makeup that will create a face that you would see on the insect. An example of a costume would be a bumblebee with a yellow and black outfit, black tights and yellow and black stripes on the face. Complete the look with a set of wings. When thinking about an insect costume for children, you need to use as many details as possible so that others will be able to decipher the insect instead of guessing.
Another reason to wear an insect costume is for a school play. Some of the elementary grades might perform plays that teach about the various kinds of insects. This is a way for the children to not only wear the fun costumes, but they can learn about the different parts of the insects as they are putting each piece together. They can learn about the wings of insects and how many legs each insect has or the colors of the insects. Older children can wear costumes when they are learning about science or performing a play for younger children.
