How amazing is this GearPower12K?
I have been using it for a few weeks and it’s the most powerful portable power station I have used. I have reviewed quite a few power stations and non come close to the power of the 12K! It feels great in your hand- there is just something about electronics that “feel good” when you hold them. Sounds crazy, but it’s true! I like how it has the green indicator light to show the charge level. The fact that you can charge TWO devices at the same time and do it FAST, is a HUGE win in my book. My son and I are always needing the charger at the same time- now we can share!
The only thing that I would change is its size. It’s a little big to fit into my purse, but fits great in my backpack and anywhere else.
How long will it take to charge your phone?
The GearPower Mobile Power Stations will charge your smartphone at the same rate as if connected to the original wall charger. For most devices that is about two hours, give or take some time for differences in smartphone battery capacity- smartphones with extra-large batteries will take significantly longer to charge. Both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus accept 2.1A charging, so they can charge even faster with the GMP12K than with their factory charger- a full charge in almost exactly 2 hours ( iPhone 6)!
How many times will it charge my phone?
Smartphone battery capacities vary greatly so here are some averages for some popular smartphones:
Apple iPhone 5: over 6 recharges
Apple iPhone 6: about 5.5 recharges
Apple iPhone 6 Plus: about 3 recharges
Samsung Galaxy S5: about 3.5 recharges
Samsung Galaxy Note 4: about 3 recharges
Can I charge my phone and tablet at the same time?
Yes. The GMP12K has a 2.1A port designed to charge a tablet at high-speed, and a 1A port designed to charge a smartphone at high speed. Note: iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus can charge faster on the 2.1A port!
