Father’s Day Finds #SuperDadGifts

June 6, 2015 by Pam Maynard

Better Gifts He’ll Actually Appreciate

As Father’s Day approaches you might see mugs, tool sets, and ties on sale. While these are good gifts for the special father in your life, there are some other ideas he might actually appreciate and use on at least a weekly basis. Consider these ideas to give a little more meaning to your gift this year.

love you dad

Grilling
If your Dad fancies himself a chef, anything that is related to grilling will be at the top of the list. This could include a new grill with features like a side warmer, tools that can be used when grilling, or cookbooks for new recipes. There are new items introduced each year, so he can never get enough of these tools.

Tools
Don’t just get a new tool box, this year include a set of mini tools like Richards Micro-Tool sets for fixing the small things in the home as well as some power tools that make work a little easier. This is a time of the year when tools are on sale, and you can sometimes get a tool box with a free tool set included. Find out what he wants to repair around the house, and get the items needed from screwdrivers to ball end mills to get the job done.

Father's day

Personally His
Sometimes even small touches mean the most. Personalizing the items your father uses most can be a special treat that shows you care. Handles on tools, a Bible if he goes to church, or a set of golf clubs with his initials on the end are ideas to get started. You can also get his name engraved on a tool box or on a plaque that is meant just for him because he is the head of the family. Find a way to show appreciation by getting into the details.

Getting Technical
If your dad enjoys being in the world of technology, then consider getting one of the latest phones on the market or a video game if he has time to spend playing them. A new laptop might be an idea, or a tablet for on the go tech. There are several gifts for men who enjoy being wrapped up in anything electronic, but make sure it’s something he will use and knows how to use, instead of something that will sit on a shelf.

Father’s Day is a time to show the men in your life how much they mean to you. Not all of them may be fathers, but they have probably shown how they can act like a father at some point in your life. Add a personal touch to the gift, or get him something that can be used for a hobby he likes, such as cooking. Any gift is special, but there are some that will be appreciated a little more.
