Meet Amanda Dubin and Kelly Meyer, Neonatal ICU nurses and Co-Founders of Luc&Lou (pronounced “loose” and “lou”). Their story at Luc&Lou is very simple: they make adorable and affordable clothing for babies. Based on the Buy-one, Give-one model: For every onesie purchased, a new onesie is donated to a baby in need.
As many of you know, I work in healthcare and I can’t resist sharing these amazing stories with you. Luc&Lou is not just about onsies- they are a shining light in the confusing darkness of healthcare! They Pay it Forward with their Buy-one, give-one goal. How amazing is it that these ladies donate a new onsie to a baby who really needs one every time someone purchases a onesie? As a mom, I know life is better with onesies and you can never have too many. I can’t imagine some moms never have any for their little ones.
Luc&Lou was inspired by these simple words “one for me & one for you.” Ultimately, by helping babies in need, we plan to spread our love nationwide and bring smiles to countless faces along the way.
About Luc&Luc:
When our paths merged as NICU nurses at a South Florida Hospital, we knew our careers had brought us together for a greater purpose. After watching our tiny babies fight for their lives in the NICU, we witnessed the struggles many families faced in order to provide the basics for their baby prior to going home. We created a company based on the simple fact that we wanted to give back to those babies that have given so much to us.
Inspired by seven special babies we cared for in the NICU, we have incorporated their footprints in all of our designs because we believe that even the smallest footprints can leave the greatest impression. These babies came into our lives, left footprints on our hearts, and their tiny prints are now the core of Luc&Lou.
We founded our company with a foundation based on our love for babies, passion for helping others, and a shared dream to make a positive impact on the world. \ We have partnered with several nonprofits to ensure that every onesie purchased will touch the heart of another baby in need.
