Living in New England has many advantages, but this year, that beautiful snow has too many disadvantages. We need a sunny and fun vacation! We like to do different things that we can’t do with 5 foot snowbanks all around us. Have you ever visited Gulf County, Florida? If you want an adventurous vacation spot for the whole family, Gulf County has so many choices! Check out the Gulf County Adventure Guide. You can go camping, fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, horseback riding and many other family-friendly adventures. Just picking up shells along the beach used to be my favorite adventure when we went to the beach in Maine. Of course, the water was so cold, we never did too much swimming. In Gulf County, you can swim and snorkel all year long and never come out with blue lips!
We never go on vacation without our Border Collie. Pet-Friendly Vacations are a MUST! We are not only dog lovers, we own a pet resort! One thing we always look for is pet-friendly beaches! Your dogs should join you on your next beach vacation! Cape San Blas is the #1 pet friendly beach in the USA! Look for the paw print symbol for pet-friendly accommodations and get started booking your next pup-friendly vacation!
Both of my boys, the big one and little one, love to do any kind of boating. We have been talking about kayaking for a few summers, but we never have made time to go. It didn’t help that my hubby worked weekends and I worked during the week. Kayaking is a great adventure for Gulf County and one I’m sure we will do when we get there! Gulf County, FL is surrounded by water which makes it a kayakers dream. Spend one day in the salt waters of the gulf, the next in the crystal clear waters in St. Joseph Bay. One reason I want to go boating is to see some dolphins, up close and personal. They are such amazing animals with happy personalities. Have you ever seen one or swam with them?
One of MY favorite adventures that my hubby doesn’t enjoy is Horseback riding on the beach. My son and I would ride until we couldn’t feel our feet. How relaxing would it be to canter along the sandy shores, dreaming of quieter days in your childhood? A horseback ride along the soft sands of Cape San Blas is a relaxing way to make memories that will last a lifetime. The guides and horses are experienced, providing a safe and slow ride along the beach.
