I struggle with shoes like nobody else I know. It is so bad that I was ready to head back to Florida ASAP. People like me, we need flip flops and sandals. Boots and sneakers don’t work. They hurt is the worst ways. I never realized this back home because flip flops and sandals 24/7 was perfectly acceptable. Not here. Idaho prefers I wear boots to safely walk on the ice and keep my feet warm. Yes, indeed, I had a huge problem with winter. We kind of hated each other for a while. If I didn’t come up with a solution, I was going home!
My husband suggested I give Lugz a try. After he found the perfect pair of boots, there was no way he was going to let me skip out on finding my own solution too. Together we picked out a boot that we thought would be the most comfortable for me. My daughter owned a similar pair of boots that worked for me on occasion so I thought I’d stick with what I know might work.
My little black Kaya boots from Lugz gives me exactly what I need. Warmth and comfort. When they first arrived I asked my teen daughter to stretch them out a little for me. After just ten minutes they were set! I have since worn my Lugz Kaya Boots for hiking, grocery shopping trips, and everything in between. They feel like slippers that don’t slip on the ice. I couldn’t have picked a better boot for me. They come in several colors so you can find the perfect Kaya for you too:
The Kaya is an ultrasoft lace-up fringed moccasin perfect for free-spirited cool girls everywhere.
COLOR: Black/ Turquoise/ Taupe/ Mustard
Details: Nubuck upper | Padded tongue and collar | Cushioned insole | Durable lug rubber outsole | Military style design
The interior of the boots feels like a blanket; like I have my feet wrapped in a soft blanket. Not overly plush, but comfortable. I love the yellow mustard interior too. The yellow interior makes me smile when I put them on. (Perfection on the inside with whimsy on the inside)
My only complaint is that I have trouble with the laces. My clumsy and bulky fingers can’t seem to get the tie right. They are made from leather and the slip-on style of the boot doesn’t require they be tied. I find myself with flapping shoestrings often. I need to find a creative way to tie them permanently.
The Kaya boots have everything we expect from Lugz: comfort and durability. They are the first closed-toe shoes I have been able to wear without physical therapy to make my feet agree to them in over ten years!
