My review:
Due to the lovely spring weather we are having (New Hampshire has NOT gotten the memo that spring has arrived) I had to wait to finish telling you about the scooter and take some pictures outside**.
As you can see, my son LOVES it! He has never been a bike rider, but he has always loved scooters. This one is the BEST since it’s electric not Kid-powered. It can go 12 mph- that’s pretty fast for an electric scooter! Once he got used to how to control his speed and use the hand brake, he was off. The Twist-grip accelerator was new to him, but he had no trouble once he figured it out. He only stopped riding it when he got too cold and couldn’t feel his fingers anymore.
The tires and frame design make for a very smooth ride. Even over the frost heaves in our driveway, you really don’t get jarred up and down. The frame is full sized and made of steel so you feel secure when you’re riding. The 8″ pneumatic tires really make a big difference in the ride.
The product information states that it holds up to 154 pounds. When my son’s friend used the scooter (he weighs about 30 pounds less than my son) he went a lot faster up the small incline in our driveway. My hubby tried it out and he had lots of fun zipping around the kitchen!
One of my favorite features is that it’s eco-friendly. It utilizes a 24V rechargeable battery system. Just plug in the battery under the frame to an outlet, let it charge (12 hours the first time) and you can enjoy up to 40 minutes of fun!
When you’re done riding, just use the kickstand to park it in a safe spot.
Overall, we already know that it will be the favorite neighborhood ride this spring. We just need spring to arrive!
