The “Frozen 2” rumor has been buzzing around the internet for almost a year now. Everyone wanted to know when Disney was going to let us all in on their big secret. “Just tell us the truth and nobody is gonna get hurt! Will there be a Frozen 2 or not?”
Today Disney finally put everyone at ease, Frozen 2 IS really happening! My girls were ecstatic when they learned the news. Baby Girl started running around the room singing her made-up Frozen song “I Elsa, I’m Beautiful, I have power!” Nope, I’m not kidding. That is exactly how her song goes. Imagine it in the most adorable two year-old voice possible and you will have a glimpse into my life. The song is a cute as she is, but she normally sings it at the top of her lungs during the worst times possible. At least today’s events was somewhat timely. It was right after I read this to the girls:
It’s of-f-f-f-f-icial: “Frozen 2” is in development at Walt Disney Animation Studios with directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee and producer Peter Del Vecho, the Oscar®-winning filmmaking team behind “Frozen.” The news was announced at Disney’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders this morning by Bob Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company; John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios; and actor Josh Gad, who provides the voice of Olaf from “Frozen.” A release date and production details are on ice for now.
Now that everyone can sleep easier knowing Frozen 2 is on the way… we will have to keep holding onto our seats as we wait for more details.
