Eliminate 99.9% of harmful bacteria with UV light.
Easily dry, disinfect and store bottles. Safely sanitize mobile phones, electronics.
Anytime I have a newborn in the house I am especially concerned about the amount of germs that we carry. I cringe at the thought of putting any of my children in a shopping cart without disinfecting it first AND putting on a cover; I refuse to feed them in restaurants that don’t meet my cleanliness expectations; and I will not go out if the health department issues a warning in my area. My husband says that I can be a little extreme, and I admit, there are times that I am; but really, the amount of nastiness that is inside and outside of our homes is scary to think about.
In 2014, The Today Show featured a Stanford University study showing that “mobile phones are 14 times dirtier than toilet handles”, while a University of Arizona study found that in a hotel room, “the single dirtiest thing was the remote control”, scoring four times the acceptable level for harmful bacteria.
Do you wash your hands each time you touch your cell phone?
When was the last time you cleaned it? What are you using to clean it?
UviCube Dries, Disinfects and Stores. Unlike traditional sterilizing baby bottle methods, UviCube has a drying function for baby bottles, baby bottle nipples, sippy cups, pacifiers and other similar containers before disinfecting them with the power of UV light. This ability allows you to save time, including precious countertop space instead of having to lay out all of your baby’s items out to dry. Click here to see how it works.
What’s more, UviCube can be used for more than sterilizing baby bottle nipples and pacifiers. Because UviCube uses the power of UV light, items that cannot be exposed to high heat or moisture can now be sanitized. This allows mobile phones, remote controls, toys and other items to be safely placed inside UviCube. UviCube has a highly reflective inner chamber to maximize the reach of UV light for the contents placed inside.
UviCube was created by parents who wanted to bring a better way of disinfecting products for babies to the U.S. The edges are rounded to avoid harmful corners, and the station interior allows plenty of room for your handheld devices and baby products. “Its inner dimensions are 9.5″ wide x 9.5″deep x 11.25″ tall. It has the capacity to hold 4-6 bottles and their accessories depending on their size.”
Disinfecting and sanitizing with UviCube means no heat, no boiling water to fiddle with, and no burns! This also means that more than just your baby’s bottles can be disinfected: toothbrushes, hair brushes, small toys, remote controls, cell phones, handheld devices, keys, small dolls, teething toys, and SO MUCH MORE can all be disinfected easily! What are you using on these products to clean them today? Chemicals? How harmful are they if your child puts them into their mouth? I promise you, the more I know, the more I realize that the old ways of doing things isn’t good and it isn’t enough!
Where do you work? What do you pick up and bring home with you each day?
Although the original purpose behind creating UviCube was to protect babies, toddlers, and children, there are many more uses for UviCube in the home and workplace. My husband worked as a corrections law enforcement officer for ten years – the amount of disgusting germs and overall filth that is inside those walls would be enough to drive you crazy. The fact that my husband was bringing this home each day from work was really scary to me. His keys, shoes, pens, notepad, badge, gloves – so many items on his person were being exposed. If we were using UviCube in our home, I would place one on our entryway table where my husband empties his pocket and stores the keys. This would make placing everything into the UviCube an easy addition to his daily routine. Even if he isn’t returning home for a long period of time – “It takes 10 minutes for the germicidal UV light rays to disinfect your items, killing 99.9% of harmful bacteria.” In the ten minutes it would take him to come home, grab something to drink, change his clothes, and come back to the door his belongings would be completely removed of harmful bacteria!
This sounds too good to be true… I have questions…
“How much does it cost to use?”, “Are we protected from the UV light?” “Do items need to be completely dry to place inside the UviCube?” “How long does it take? How long will I need to go without my phone?” “Can we open the door safely in the middle of a cycle?”
All of the questions that I had regarding UviCube were easily answered on their website and I was shocked to not have a single question or concern result in a negative outcome. The bottles don’t need to be dry because the UviCube has a drying capability. It only takes ten minutes to sanitize items that are already dry and if you need to open the door before it is complete, you can do so safely. The yearly estimated cost of use is a little over six dollars and it doesn’t require a special outlet in your home to operate as it has a U.S. Standard plug.
Would I buy one?
As a product reviewer for over four years, I think it speaks very highly when I see a product that I would actually buy myself. Would I buy the UviCube with my own hard-earned money? Yes, without a doubt! The UviCube is something I would buy and value in my home. I would use it for all of my toddler’s cups, my baby’s toys, all of our handheld devices (and anything else I could fit inside- Ha!).
