Reel Animals Can Steal Your Heart Away With Their Stunts And Performance

February 7, 2015 by Pam Maynard

Animal movies come with a strong message. They can deliver lessons on courage, protection, love and loyalty. Black Beauty is a classic movie which is based on Anna Swell’s novel. The film revolves around the life of a Victorian era horse. In the movie, the endearing horse narrates his own story and talks about the ups and downs. The 1971 version of the movie was liked by all. The Black Stallion is a magical film which is a great feast both for the eyes and the soul. In the first half off the movie, a boy and the horse are shipwrecked in a deserted isle.

Tales on horses

Some classic movies which are based on animal characters have entertained viewers of all age groups. Misty is an endearing tale where a boy and a girl befriend a wild horse. They live in an island and enjoy exciting adventures. The movie has been filmed in beautiful settings. My Friend Flicka is a sweet story which concerns a boy who tames a colt. Based on a classic novel this movie revolves around how the rebellious colt is tamed. National velvet is another touching film which revolves around a horse. A young girl trains a horse with her male friend. You can enjoy one of the most exciting and entertaining horse-racing sequences in the film.

A beautiful dog movie

Lassie come home is a beautiful dog movie where young Joe is forced to forego his pet as his family can no longer afford it. In the course of the story the dog escapes from the new owner and returns back to Joe. So that she cannot escape again the new owner takes the dog Lassie far away. When he is freed by the owner’s daughter he makes a heroic journey back to Joe. Lassie, the dog, became a star after the movie was released. Generations of Lassie played her role in the sequels.

Movies based on cats and dogs

Puss in Boots and Garfield are popular movies which revolve around stories of cats. Garfield is a fat cat which loves lasagne. During the movie he finds himself in competition with a new member of the family, Odie the dog. For cat lovers, this movie is a great watch. Homeward Bound is another popular movie which is the remake of a 1963 film which is based on a novel. Adventures of A Himalayan cat Sassy, American bulldog Chance and the golden retriever Shadow are depicted in the movie.

Requirements for success

It is not very difficult to introduce your canine into show business. You may be lucky to attend a Hollywood premiere as the guest of the film’s leading star, your pet. Your dog must have the right temperament and willingness to learn. A dog who is eager to socialize and can adapt to unfamiliar environments will do well as a dog actor. Both mixed breeds and pure breeds can be fabulous stars in Hollywood movies. The individual personalities and confidence levels of the dogs must suit the work which they have to undertake. Movie dog trainers can order pet supplies online today.

 A touch of humanity

As per regulations the animals which are used in movies are treated with care. Most directors depend on quality trainers who can train the animals without being harsh to them. The animals are well treated and no injury or harm is caused to them. Animal actors re-treated gently today. A unique thing which can be noticed in current times is that rescued animals are being used in movies. Most of the dogs were days away from being put to sleep in shelters. Today they are famous movie stars.
