DripDrop Dehydration Solution for Children and Adults

February 2, 2015 by Victoria

MDR review-disclosure

As a parent of children with Hay-Wells Syndrome, I know far too well the importance of staying hydrated. Hay-Wells Syndrome, an Ectodermal Dysplasia, is a genetic disorder that affects many things, one of which being the ability to regulate body temperature. This is due to having fewer sweat glands than average. If a person cannot sweat properly then their bodies start to overheat. Once the body begins to overheat, dehydration sets in very quickly.

While camping in Perdido Key last September the weather temperatures were in the 100s. I tried to make sure that everyone was drinking plenty of water and we even set up a pool at camp to stay cool when we weren’t at the beach. Upon waking up one morning my youngest son was complaining about not feeling well. After an hour he started vomiting and was lethargic. We rushed him to the nearest children’s hospital emergency room where they diagnosed him with dehydration and nearly admitted him overnight. It was a frightening day for everyone.  The importance of keeping him hydrated hit us square in the face!

We need to do better so this doesn’t happen again:

Children with Hay Wells Syndrome have fewer sweat glands

Every year more than 200,000 children in the United States are admitted to a hospital for dehydration, and often they are treated with a painful IV. Why? Children’s hydration needs are much different than those of adults. Children lose water much more quickly, and they require a greater volume of fluids to stay properly hydrated.

DripDrop is a great tasting, effective hydration solution for children

DripDrop was created by a Mayo-Clinic-trained physician who was tired of recommending poor tasting electrolyte replacement solutions he knew his patients wouldn’t drink.

Available in lemon and berry flavors, DripDrop tastes better than most pediatric solutions, and does not contain any artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. It has 2-3 times the electrolytes of sports drinks, with fewer calories.

DripDrop ORS represents an evolution in the standard oral rehydration formula. Our doctor-developed rehydration powder contains a medically relevant level of sodium, while tasting great enough to drink every day.

DripDrop is an Oral Rehydration Solution(ors). ORS is a a combination of water, salt and sugar. To qualify as an effective ORS the mixture of Electrolytes have to be precise ratios. Drip Drop’s ratio is formulated to literally pull water from your gut to hydrate quickly. This process is achieved by activating the sodium-glucose co-transport system. While looking into Drip Drop the stats were very impressive. Here are some examples of the benefits of DripDrop.

  1. Hydrates 34% better than water alone
  2. Has 25% more electrolytes than pediatric drinks
  3. Contains 2-3 times more Electrolytes than sport drinks
  4. Has 50% less sugar than Sports drinks

DripDrop is highly recommended by doctors, athletes, military and organizations for humanity aid. With so many people and the research backing this product, it was a no brainier for my family to use DripDrop for our hydration needs.

DripDrop ORS for Dehydration Prevention

After receiving my package, I was eager to see how well it worked. First, was the taste test for my son. He also has oral Sensory Processing Disorder, so finding things that he will eat or drink can be a real challenge. To my great surprise he liked it! He tried both flavors and enjoys each one – relief! Thanks to his positive response, DripDrop will now be a staple for our family and included in our first-aid kit in case of another unexpected emergency.
