As a person who has worn boots for fifteen years, 12+ hours a day, I have first hand knowledge of how a boot should feel. I have had several pairs of boots that no matter how broke in they are, they just never feel good on your feet. Even after trying a new insole they would just never be comfortable for the amount of time you were wearing them. By the end of the day you just couldn’t wait until you took the boots off due to your feet hurting so bad.  If you are wearing your boots for long periods of time, you want a boot that does it’s job so you can do yours!

Like I said I have tried several boot companies and styles before I come across The lugz Co. When I went to their web page to look around…Wow! The choices available to you from the Lugz Co. is amazing! I was pretty impressed.

I like a boot that functions as a boot but wears like tennis shoe. The Howitzer by Lugz seems to fit this description. With features like Water resistant Thermabuck upper, Padded tongue & collar, Flexa-stride Memory foam sockliner and a ASTM-F1677, Mark II tested slip resistant rubber sole – this boot has my attention.

Once I received my boots I had a flashback to my childhood of a kid getting new shoes. I couldn’t wait to put these boots on to see if they made me run faster or jump higher. Upon opening the box the look of the boots were exactly what I was hoping for. The craftsmanship was spot on. I am big on how the profile of my boots look. I have a certain style and these boots have a great profile. The black velour-looking material made the boot look more like a dress shoe than a work boot – nice! The polished silver metal name tag on the side gives it a nice touch of class.

How do they feel?

Let me just start off by saying these are, BY FAR, the best feeling boots that I have ever worn! The boots are light, which is great when you wear these things for a long time. (You would be surprised just how much of a difference the weight of your boots makes at the end of the day.) The Flexa-stride Memory foam sock liner is like walking on a cloud. I really do feel like I have gym shoes on instead of boots. If you have never experienced these insoles before, you have no idea what you are missing. Wow!

Recommend?  You Bet!

Overall this is a well made boot that I would recommend to anyone that has to wear boots for a long period of time. Be it running errands around town or working twelve+ hour shifts at work. Big THANK YOU to the Lugz Co. for giving me the boot that I have been looking for years!
