I love a good girls night in. A girls night IN. Not a girls night out. Girls night out means, putting on make up, getting dressed up, and then spending all night wondering if I look as awesome as I think I do. No thank you! I need a night that is free of stress, not filled with it. Girls night in is that magical time when we G rated moms can get together and release our inner R rating. It’s therapy!
That’s why I love Rotten Apples. It’s one of those games that really helps relieve the stress of being a mom every day. I mean, I love being a mom, but it’s nice to hang out with people who don’t consider dumb to be a four letter word. Rotten Apples is an adult board game that welcomes off color, crude, and downright vulgar hilarity, and it’s so awesome.
Rotten Apples is one of those games that I love for a girls night in that goes great with a glass (or three) of wine. It’s incredibly easy to play, ridiculously funny, and difficult to put down. The rules are simple. There are 520 cards – 455 answer cards and 65 prompt cards. The Apple Picker draws a brown prompt card. Prompt cards have generic, seemingly innocuous phrases on them. Everyone playing the game chooses a green answer card. The object is to pick the funniest most family non-friendly answer. Remember, this is a girls night in! The Apple Picker then selects their favorite answer. The girl with the best answer gets to be picker for the next round. And on and on it goes until you’re too tired or too “relaxed” to continue. =D
Rotten Apples is the absolute best girls night in game I’ve ever played. I laughed so hard that my stomach hurt the next day! I like to keep my blog PG rated, but I’ll tell you this. Some of the answers that won were positively ear burning!
I love a good girls night in, so that’s what I’m focusing on here, but this is a game that’s great for any adult get together.
