I was so excited to attend the Toyland event at Walmart on Saturday November 22. My Walmart (about 15 minutes from my house) isn’t a huge Super Walmart, but it is a good size. I was worried after hearing that many stores didn’t have any Toyland events happening that I would be disappointed when I got there. But NO! I met a very nice Walmart associate who happily demonstrated all of the #ChosenbyKids toys. One was my toy- Transformers Mega 1-Step Bumblebee. He even got my hubby to try it out!
Toyland at Walmart was a new event to me. They had a display up on a Saturday afternoon with the season’s top toys. They featured everything from Zoomer the Dino to Cra-Z- Art sand to Lalaloopsy to Transformers. These great toys are in high demand this year so be sure to get them early this year! The Toyland display attracted kids and adults. Yes, even my hubby had fun playing with Bumblebee. Everyone loves that Cra-Z-Art sand! I saw more adults playing with that then kids.
My son has never been a big Transformers fan, but one of his best friends is! I think I figured out why- after about 10 minutes, my son couldn’t get Bumblebee to transform into a car! It was kind of funny to watch him.
Guess who was the first one to get Bumblebee to turn into a car? Yes, it was me. My son still couldn’t get it to transform even after looking at the directions. The trick is to put the arms where it shows you before you “fold” it up. I have to admit, I’m not sure why he never liked transformers. It’s like 2 toys in 1. It’s a robot (this one even shoots plastic discs) and it’s a car that actually is fun to roll around. It even looks cool.
Overall, I had fun at the Toyland Event and had fun playing with Bumblebee! If you have a Transformers fan, you definitely need to put Bumblebee on your list.
