This is week 2 of my 100 Night Comfortaire Challenge and I have been loving every minute in our new bed. I started out a number 15 as recommended. I still love how it feels so I haven’t changed my number at all. My hubby is a back sleeper and he did change his number to 30 this weekend and really likes the extra support.
I really can’t believe the difference Comfortaire makes on my back. I have been waking up for years with low back pain. It has been especially bad lately. We even bought a Tempurpedic Mattress and my back pain did not improve. I think the mattress was too firm for me. I am a side sleeper and I wake up with sore hips and back pain. Ever since I have started my 100 Night Challenge, I usually wake up with no pain or just a dull ache as opposed to stabbing pain. It’s really amazing what a difference an adjustable bed makes.
One other big change I have noticed is how refreshed I feel when I wake up. I don’t wake up 2 or 3 times when I try to get comfortable. If I do get up, I go right back to sleep, no tossing or turning like I used to. I feel like I have actually gotten a full night’s sleep with the Comfortaire. Feeling refreshed in the morning makes your whole day go better. My hubby has even mentioned that I have been in a better mood.
As we will learn from Comfortaire, good sleep depends on controlling three key elements: support, posture, and comfort. Comfortaire delivers on all 3 elements. The air chambers support your body in whatever position and whatever firmness you select. It helps your spine keep better posture. Of course, comfort is key- it’s even in the name!
Each week I am also going to focus on one aspect of Comfortaire. This week I want to start at the beginning and tell you how and why Comfortaire was started.
Comfortaire® has been delivering Individualized Sleep Experiences™ for over 30 years. We started by inventing an airbed that provided an independently adjustable surface utilizing latex-cotton air chambers. While our original design is and has been the industry standard for over 30 years, our mission today is to continue developing innovative sleep solutions that are as unique as you are.
Innovate: Dynamic Support
Good sleep depends on controlling three key elements: support, posture, and comfort. This simple pyramid, combined with 20 years of customer feedback, inspired us to rethink the construction of our airbeds and became the basis for another industry-changing patent. Using a single air layer to both provide support and regulate posture limits the benefits air can provide, so we came up with an airbed that does more to satisfy all three elements of good sleep:
- A solid layer of support acts as a steady base and prevents sleepers from over-deflating the mattress.
- This allows us to move our air chambers to the top of the mattress, in a lower profile that extends right to the mattress edges. This dynamic air layer shapes to the unique contours of each sleeper and eliminates instability or rolling that can result from differences in firmness settings in older, deep fill air chambers buried deep within the mattress.
- Plush quilting and comfort toppers provide superior mattress comfort and complete our design.
Comfortaire’s original product designs have been the benchmark of the mattress industry for over 30 years. Our innovations bring meaningful improvements to our original designs. And our commitments to innovation and sleep research assure you that the products we sell are designed to provide the ultimate levels of individual sleep comfort.
