As a lifetime Dog owner and lover, I love reading these stories! My dogs have always been an important part of my life and I can’t imagine life without dogs. In fact, my son was born into a home with four dogs and he has been a dog lover since he could blow kisses. They have always protected him, cleaned up his messy food spills and always are ready to lick his face clean. Now that he is 11, he loves to play frisbee and tug-of-war with the Border Collie and the German Shepherd. They love it so much they bring him toys constantly. Sure they can get into mischief and magic- my least favorite is when they got sprayed by a skunk and I didn’t realize it until I let them into the house. Or the time my Border Collie tracked down a missing bearded dragon. We couldn’t figure out what he was staring at. That poor dragon had been missing a week! We can’t imagine life without dogs!
My favorite story:
Crazy for Daisy- this quote starts it “properly trained, a man can be a dog’s best friend.” Corey Fond
Daisy is a crazy, dominant Basset Hound that has “Hershey kiss eyes” and is all over her own like “lint on a lollipop.” She showed unconditional love and adoration and the author would be Driving miss Daisy and Daisy would still be driving her crazy. It’s a fun story, be sure to read it when you get this fun book!
My favorite sad story:
All for the Love of Patty- the bond between a dog and “his” girl can’t be broken- even at the very end of his life. Saying good-bye to our best friends is so hard. Many times it’s the first time children have to deal with death. My son has always adjusted well to death of animals. He hasn’t lost a dog yet, but he did write a poem about a dead guinea hen. It was very graphic, but it helped him deal with it.

About the book:
Our feline friends constantly surprise and charm us with their silly antics, their loving connections with our family members, and their surprising intelligence. You will enjoy reading all the 101 amazing and humorous stories in this collection about the mischief, miracles, and magic our cats bring to our lives. This collection will make you laugh and touch your heart and after reading these stories we know you’ll say, “The cat did what?”
We have always loved cats and again, I have been a lifetime cat owner and lover. I remember one of our cats growing up named Murphy, got his tail slammed in the screen door . I was horrified that my dad was going to finish the job with his jackknife. He didn’t, don’t worry. We took Murphy to the vet and got him fixed up. My dad, feeling guilty- he was the one who shut the door accidentally on his tail, made sure Murphy was comfortable. His tail would hurt when it touched anything. I can still see my dad holding Murphy on his chest with one hand under his tail so it wouldn’t touch anything and both of them fast asleep.
My favorite Story:
Gray Cat, Corner Pocket- this quote starts the story- “To play billiards well was a sign of an ill-spent youth” – Herbert Spencer.
I don’t think I have ever had a cat get it’s head stuck in a billiard table, but this story is a must-read! Spot was very curious and creative and one of his hobbies was chasing pool balls while the family was playing. One time he was playing by himself and ended up with no balls left on the table. He went to remedy the situation and ended up with his head in the corner pocket and couldn’t get it out. Eventually, after slathering him with butter, oil and more, they had to call the police and fire department to rescue him. Needless to say, the family turned the pool table into a ping pong table- anything to keep their cat safe.
