I See Me sent me My Very Own Pirate Tale and Bandanna Gift Set to Review. I have to admit that it brought smiles to the whole house. My 9 yr. old son has really enjoyed reading the book and of course the personalized pirate bandanna that comes in the gift set is an added bonus.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the book has a rhyming story. My children have always loved when I read rhyming books to them. I guess it’s the rhythm that makes the story flow right along and they become totally absorbed! Reading My Very Own Pirate Tale was no different.
The book began with a dedication on the very first page. It read: “This book was created especially for Hunter”. I thought that was very thoughtful touch to add to a children’s storybook. I was also impressed with how they incorporated each letter of his name into the story. I don’t want to ruin it for you, however, in this story each letter describes an attribute of a boy they are searching for. How neat is that?! H stands for Humble, U stands for Unique, etc. I liked the fact that they included all positive good character building qualities. In my opinion, that makes this book a positive influence. In addition, the illustrations in My Very Own Pirate Tale are vividly brought to life.
At the end of this great pirate’s adventure you will find a game to play. Go to each page that spells out your name and find a hidden coin. The learning doesn’t end there! There is also a Sea Animal Encyclopedia at the end of the book. Each animal has a picture, description, and fun fact.
I would recommend an I See Me book for your own children or as a gift for a special child. They will feel so special when they see a storybook specially created and dedicated for them!
