Ronco Ready Grill #Review

September 29, 2014 by Pam Maynard

review disclosure

I am always looking for a quick way to get dinner accomplished. With my son’s active weekly schedule, I need a little “set it and forget it” help with dinner. That’s why I agreed to give the Ronco Ready Grill a try.  Not only does it offer great fat reducing features, but also, the ability to cook meals faster. Getting a meal completed faster is always best when you have two hungry guys starring at you each night (smile).

Ronco Ready Grill #Review

The Ronco Ready Grill is a vertically inclined grill that uses gravity to insure excess grease drainage to provide the user with leaner meals.

Consumer Reports named the Ronco Ready Grill one of the five products from the International Housewares Association’s 2014 Hot Housewares show in New York City with “maximum gee whiz appeal,” that could, “bring true innovation to the housewares category.”

We tried out our Ready Grill with frozen bacon and cheese burgers.  I opted to try them since the grill boasts of being able to cook frozen meats fast!  They cooked well, but the Grill didn’t allow for me to cook more than two burgers at a time.  I need to be able to cook, at least, three hamburgers as once to feed my family.

Opening the basket and placing my food inside is very simple.  Actually, the entire process was super easy. The Grill manual provides you with cooking time recommendations and recipes to use.  I found that the recommendations were very accurate and helpful.  There were times I questioned the cook times, but was pleased when all turned out when the recommendations said they would.

My biggest disappointment with the grill is the size.  For my family of three, it just isn’t big enough to produce a quick meal – not when everything needs to be cooked in duplicate.  Our family’s solution for the small size is to use the Ronco Ready Grill in place of our microwave for individual mid-day meals.  Since we started using it for this purpose, I love it.  I can have a quick grilled cheese or a few chicken tenders in minutes. The food tastes amazing and the clean up is simple.

Recommendations:

Families who are looking for a great way to move away from the use of their microwave will love the Ronco Ready Grill.  It provides you with a quick cooking tool in a compact package, with easy clean up!
