Father’s day is here, and it is time to think about how to show the man in your life how much you appreciate him. Instead of doing the traditional go out to dinner or grill the perfect steak, find some new and creative ways to surprise him.
Treat Dad to a Trip to the Ballpark
Summer time is a great time to go out to the ballpark and take in a game. If you live near a city with a professional baseball team, or a community with a minor league or semi-pro team, get tickets and enjoy a day at the park. Going to a minor league or semi-pro game is a great family outing. Enjoy extra entertainment and the fun of ball park hot dogs and other concession food. If you are not that close to a ball park, plan an overnight trip.
Get His Truck Repaired and Restored
If dad has an old beater truck that he still uses for heavy work and other outings, get it back in top condition. Work with 99 Truck Parts & Industrial Equipment Ltd. or a local body shop to deal with rust and dents and to apply touch up paint, or a whole new coat. Give the truck a tune up and change the oil. Change out transmission and brake fluid and replace belts if needed. Work with a local mechanic for any tune up and repair needs.
Give Him a Hunting Vacation
Many men would be thrilled to get a gift hunting vacation. Find a package at a hunting lodge or resort that allows him to hunt his preferred game. Include a place that includes trap or skeet shooting for additional outdoor fun. If money is not a concern, you could get more exotic and select a hunting trip in Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, or other places.
Update His Grilling Center
Even if you don’t grill on Father’s Day, summer is prime grilling season. Give dad the dream tools and toys to make grilling more enjoyable. Update to an outdoor kitchen with built-in grill, refrigerator, sink and more. Give dad more time in the sun and fresh air this summer by providing him with a food prep and storage area outside. With a built in refrigerator, he can stock his favorite beer to enjoy while cooking.
Don’t let this father’s day be the same old, same old for dad. Find unique ways to treat him and show him you appreciate him on his special day.
