Both of my guys were happy to see the Rockin’ Dad Gift arrive from Mod Dad for my husband. It came with a Tempest Leather strap, Super Slinky Rock N’ Roll Electric Guitar Strings, Chromacast Guitar Picks, Strap blocks, Gibson Pump Polish and Cloth, 3 sets of earplugs, and the 10 step guide to being a Strummin’ Dad. I could tell you all about these products myself, however, I don’t think I would have a clue what I was talking about. So, I asked the guys to help us out. Tempest Leather Strap
Let’ start with my favorite part of the set, the Tempest Leather Strap. This is one of the best guitar straps I have ever owned. This three Inch strap is very comfortable and proportions the weight really well. I don’t have to worry about any soreness and rubbing after a full afternoon session.
Super Slinky Rock’nŔoll Electric Guitar Strings
What’s not to love about the Super Slinky Rock’nŔoll Electric Guitar Strings? I mean, I feel like a real rock star considering artist like Maroon 5, Aerosmith, Kid rock are using these strings. These things have an amazing tone to them. Much better than my old ones.
Chromacast Guitar Picks
The Chromacast Guitar Picks includes in this set are made out of DuPont’s Delrin Plastic to mimic the effect one would get by using tortoiseshell. Chromacast offers several gauges ranging from light to heavy but the medium selected by Mod Dad are perfect for rocking! They have a great feel and produce a stronger sound than some of the other picks in my stash.
Fender Strap Blocks
The Fender Strap Blocks work amazingly and are easy to install. All you have to do is slide it over the existing strap button and it locks it in place securely. When I say “securely”, I do mean they are securely in place! Even after being in place for over a week, they aren’t budging!
Gibson Pump Polish and Cloth
I like that the polish is made from Earth friendly chemicals and is safe for both my acoustic & my electric guitars. I did struggle with using their cloth because it left lent behind on my strings that was near impossible to get off. The polish worked great, but I need to find another cloth for cleaning under and around the strings. Otherwise, I don’t think my guitar has been this clean since I brought it home!
Extras
Also included, is a set of earplugs for the rest of the family and 10 step guide on how to become a Rockstar Dad… my response “haha, very funny guys!”
