It can be difficult to know what to cook when you spend most of your day looking after the kids or cleaning the house, and you haven’t always got enough time to nip out to the supermarket and pick up something nice. So, it’s important all busy moms on a budget start to plan their meals ahead of time so all the ingredients will be ready and waiting at home. There’s no excuse for giving your children and husband microwave meals when you could do so much better with some simple, and careful planning. Considering this, take a moment to read through the rest of this article, and I’ll highlight a number of different pork dishes you might like to consider.
Here we go…
1. Pork Fillet With Bacon, Cheese And Asparagus
This might well be my absolute favourite pork dish in the world, so I definitely think you should try it out. Indeed, it’s actually in the photograph attached with this article, and so you can see it’s not anything complicated. All you need is some nice pork fillet, some strong tasting cheese, smoked bacon and asparagus. Then you just throw it all on the plate!
2. American Style Pulled Pork Baps
While you might have tried a pulled pork bap from your local butcher or cafe, you probably haven’t tried it smoked and barbecued like they make it over in America. I personally have a friend with a food stall that sells this product, so I know how amazing it tastes. All you need is a basic smoker, some good quality meat, and your own homemade BBQ sauce. I guarantee you’ll eat this regularly once you’ve tried it.
3. Pork Shoulder With Cider And Parsnips
In my own opinion, the shoulder is one of the best cuts of pork, and this is why it’s often so popular amongst upper class people. While it might cost a little more to purchase, the taste is exquisite, and it melts in your mouth. Adding cider and parsnips into the mix just makes the dish even more impressive. A quick tip for you though: aim to use sweet cider rather than dry, as this tends to blend better.
4. Smoky Pork With Tacos
A lot of people eat tacos these days, but very few of them add pork into the mix. Personally, I believe this type of meat makes for the best possible tacos, which is why I’m recommending you to try it today. You’ll need to slow cook the pork to ensure it falls apart easily, but other than that, you can simply use a taco kit from your local supermarket. This is a huge dish in Mexico, and it’s easy to see why.
Well busy moms! Now you’ve heard about some of the best and tastiest pork recipes out there; there should be nothing stopping you from downloading their methods and planning some really stunning dishes for your family this weekend. Just remember, while you might not get it right first time, everyone improves with practice.
