Autism Awareness Month Giveaway ~~ Educate Support Advocate
My son has a friend who is Autistic. I’m sure about everyone knows someone with Autism. Keep reading to find out what YOU can do to support research for a cure!
Autism awareness is something that is near and dear to my heart. Every year thousands of children are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and forms of it such as Asperger Syndrome. There has yet to be found a definite cause.
April is Autism Awareness Month. It’s a time that we can support someone or families of individuals with Autism. Educate others on Autism awareness. Advocate for individuals who are on the Autism spectrum. AutismSpeaks.org gives an abundance of information such as this:
Autism statistics from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) identify around 1 in 68 American children as on the autism spectrum–a ten-fold increase in prevalence in 40 years. Careful research shows that this increase is only partly explained by improved diagnosis and awareness. Studies also show that autism is four to five times more common among boys than girls. An estimated 1 out of 42 boys and 1 in 189 girls are diagnosed with autism in the United States.
A group of us have gotten together to spread the word about Autism Awareness and we’d like you to do the same. To promote Autism Awareness Month we’re giving away the items below.
