The holidays are here, which means dish after dish of delicious recipes coming your way. However, there are many skin-loving foods in scrumptious recipes that can add a healthy-looking glow during the holiday season … you just need to be “in the know.”
Nutritionist Ellie Krieger and dermatologist Dr. Debra Luftman have teamed up with Simple® Skincare to offer cooking tips for healthy-looking skin this season. Ellie will offer new food ideas for viewers to serve this holiday season, while Dr. Luftman explains the science behind why these foods benefit skin health.
Watch my interview below to see what I learned about Skin-Healthy Food:
Not only did I come away with some great resources for skin healthy recipes, but I learned how to help keep tween acne breakouts to a minimum. Kids should avoid sugar and dairy products. They should eat foods rich in Vitamin A- it will help reduce the severity of breakouts.
Do you have sensitive skin like I do? Avoid any foods with food coloring. That will help reduce rashes and hives.
I also learned that it is very important to keep your blood sugar regulated by eating regular meals and whole grains.
