We all love chocolate! I want to tell you about an amazing new but old chocolate that I just discovered! American Heritage’s semi-sweet chocolate (63% cacao) is a great addition to your family’s favorite recipes or allows for the creation of new desserts this time of year.
Because American Heritage Chocolate is an authentic historic recipe for chocolate and is made with ingredients that were only available in the 1750’s, it has a very one-of-a-kind flavor that is mildly spicy, and slightly sweet. One thing that caught my attention that I didn’t know was that Ben Franklin personally bought chocolate for the troops. He did that in 1755 to support the French and Indian War. How amazing is that! Another fun fact was that we discovered chocolate in a ship that had sunk to the bottom of the ocean off the coast of Florida in 1641. What does that say about us? Hmmm.
