My Review:
As a busy mom, I always am looking for healthy foods to make that my son will actually want to eat. The Piccolo Chef Cookbook is the perfect resource. Not only does it feature healthy, kid-friendly foods, but it shows you exactly how to make them so they taste good and are fun to eat too! Most Cookbooks are targeted to the adult that is doing the cooking. The Piccolo Chef actually involves your child in the whole preparation of the meal. Getting them involved in cooking actually makes them more likely to eat their delicious meal! The book even has a resource section on the proper way to set a table. Have you taught your children the proper way to set a table? I know I haven’t, but now that it’s illustrated in the book, I will just let him find the page and follow the picture! After all, I probably would teach him the “not so right” way to set it!
The photos in the book are amazing and fun. The Pizzette Party recipe has great photos of children rolling out dough and getting into the whole meal. Not only does the recipe sound great, but the pictures are amazing- from the dough to the finished product. It’s all about presentation! If the food looks good and looks fun, your kids are more likely to eat it! Actually, most people are more likely to eat food that is presented in a pretty fashion.
I highly recommend this cookbook for anyone who wants to cook healthy foods with and for your children. It will make the perfect Christmas gift!
