Food Trends: 4 Crockpot Recipes That Are Made Easy For A Busy Week

Crockpot recipes are simple to make and quite delicious. Having a crockpot is ideal because there are plenty of delectable recipes you can make and you can do it without spending very much time doing so. Here are four yummy recipes that are quick and healthy:

Yummy Shrimp Marinara

This shrimp marinara recipe is very simple to throw together when you’re in a hurry. If you’re rushing to get to work or school, this is the ideal recipe for you because all you have to do is leave the crockpot on and come home to a wonderful meal.

 

Ingredients:

2 tsp. of chopped cilantro

2 to 3 basil leaves, finely chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

1lb. shrimp

1 tablespoon tomato paste

3 tablespoons chopped onion

 

Directions: This recipe is very simple to execute. The first step is to add the can of diced tomato to the crockpot; after you do this, add some salt, pepper, herbs, onions and tomato paste. Once you’ve added these ingredients, turn the pot on low and cook them for six hours or so. Then, turn the pot to the highest setting and add the shrimp. The dish should be ready in 15 minutes or so. Lastly, all you need to do is cook some pasta and pour some of the shrimp sauce over it.

Turkey Stew

This yummy turkey stew incorporates all the delicious flavor of Thanksgiving without the guesswork.

 

Ingredients:

1 lb. of diced turkey

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup chicken broth

1 can of peas

1 cup brown rice

The herbs and seasonings of your choice

 

Directions: First, add the rice and chicken broth to the crockpot. After you add those ingredients, you can add 1 cup of peas. You can choose either frozen or canned peas; it’s up to you. Then, add any seasonings and herbs of your choice to add flavor. Lastly, cook the ingredients for 8 hours or so on the highest setting.

Apple Pie Soup

If you are craving a more sweet option and don’t want to take the time to babysit it the recipe, this option is for you.

 

Ingredients:

3 cups diced apples

2 teaspoons cinnamon

¼ cup milk

1/4th cup caramel

½ cup crushed cookie crumbs.

 

Directions: Toss all the ingredients into the crock pot and cook for three to four hours on medium. Enjoy.

Meatball soup

This is a recipe that will be great, especially if you are looking for something that will last a long time and give you a little more leftovers throughout the week.

 

Ingredients:

1lb. ground turkey

1 can diced tomatoes

1. tsp. cilantro

½ cup chopped celery

1 tsp. chili powder

Salt and pepper

1-cup beef broth

 

Directions: First, form the turkey into meatballs. Then, throw all the ingredients into the crock pot and cook it on high for 7 to 8 hours.

 

These meals are easy to prepare and can be stored easily to grab during the week. The crockpot has replaceable krups parts that are simple to use and will ultimately make life easy on you during the week.
