Medu Jewelry Rose Quartz Bracelet Review

October 3, 2013 by Pam Maynard

I was given this bracelet, free of charge, for purposes of this review.  All opinions are 100% my own.

Rose Quartz Bracelet:

It’s not everyday I get to review beautiful bracelets such as this Rose Quartz Bracelet from Medu Jewelery!  It couldn’t have come at a better time too.  October is Breast Cancer awareness month and pink is the color of the cause.  This gives me a great reason to wear my Rose Quartz bracelet every day!

About Rose Quartz:

  • Stone type – Rose quartz
  • Stone shape – Round
  • Stone size – 10mm
  • Length – 7″ Long
  • Clasp – 925 Sterling silver
  • Hypoallergenic (nickel free

Rose quartz ranges from pale to vivid pink, with the color being caused by titanium. Rose quartz tends to be a cloudy stone, which makes the color appear even more saturated. Some rose quartz is cut to showcase inclusions that look like a six-faceted star. Completely transparent rose quartz is very rare. Quartz is one of the most common gems, with rose quartz being mined in Brazil, India, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Sri Lanka and the United States.

Treatment: Some rose quartz is dyed or heat-treated in order to maximize the intensity of the color.

I must admit, I didn’t know much about Rose Quartz before I received my bracelet. It’s amazing that this beautiful stone gets it’s color from titanium!  The stones remind me of pearls, due to their cloudy appearance.  They are about the same size as my fresh water pearl bracelet.  The stones are smooth and beautiful.  The pink color is more saturated in some stones more than others, making each bracelet a one-of-a-kind piece.

The Toughness and durability of rose quartz is good.  I feel comfortable wearing it daily.  Of course, I take it off when I get home from work and never wear it in the shower.

I love that the clasp is stainless steel and hypoallergenic.  My skin is sensitive and some bracelets give me a rash.

How do you care for and clean the bracelet? Rose quartz is best cleaned with soap, water and a soft brush
