Math CAN be fun!!
This game is a home run in my book. Not only is it easy to set up, it’s quick to play and kid’s can work on their multiplication and division skills at the same time. My son and I have played multiple games- it’s kind of addicting. My son is 10 and when I beat him the first two times, he got smart. He found that if he really paid attention, he could beat me almost every time. Boys don’t like to lose to their mothers!
The object of the game is to get rid of all your triangle tiles before the other players. Players have to put down at least 2 tiles in their turn. The triangle must form a Fact family:
3 x 4 = 12
4 x 3 = 12
12/ 3 = 4
12/ 4 = 3
So, players must be able to process the numbers and change them so the triangle still works. If a player puts down an incorrect tile, that player takes the tile back and play goes to the next person. There are even WILD cards to make it more exciting. Players can use it for any number they wish.
You definitely don’t want to miss this game if you children are having trouble with multiplication or division. Sometime seeing things in a different format can really change the learning experience. Some children are more visual and tactile learners than other.
