Top Five Kid-Friendly Attractions in Myrtle Beach

Summer is here and it is prime time for vacations in Myrtle Beach, SC. As one of the top vacation destinations on the East Coast, Myrtle Beach draws families from all over for its beautiful beaches and summertime fun. As parents we try to plan our itineraries and make our vacations as fun as possible for everyone. To make this a little easier, I’ve put together a list of the top kid-friendly attractions for those bringing their children to Myrtle Beach for summer vacation.

5. Baseball

Take them out to the ballgame! A Myrtle Beach Pelicans game is a perfect way to spend an evening out with the family. The stadium is gorgeous and the in-game entertainment is certainly geared toward the kids. Multiple mascots roam the stadium waiting for high-fives and pictures with the little ones. The Pelicans staff also holds games and contests between innings where select children can take the field and participate for a chance to win prizes. Make your evening extra special and get tickets for fireworks night. With family friendly pricing and loads of entertainment value, a Pelicans game is a fun family activity.

4.  Mini-golf

While most kids won’t pick up the golf clubs and hit the links like Tiger Woods, they almost always enjoy a round of mini-golf. Myrtle Beach is home to some great miniature golf courses and they are not hard to find. Choosing the right one for your family might be as simple as driving down Highway 17 until the kids shout out at the one that catches their eye. Mini-golf is truly a fun-for-all-ages activity and can offer some friendly competition between family members.

3. Go-Karts

NASCAR Speedpark can be a great way to spend a day with the family. While you can get smaller packages, I recommend getting the all day pass and making a day out of it. The main attractions here are certainly the go-karts.  There are numerous tracks and each one offers a different experience. It’s hard to miss the excitement in your child’s face when they get behind the wheel. NASCAR Speedpark offers tons of other activities also.  They have a rock climbing wall, mini-golf, a giant indoor arcade, a carousel, a skycoaster, batting cages and more.

2. Water Parks

Myrtle Beach’s waterparks are another fun-filled way to spend a day of your vacation. Myrtle Waves in Myrtle Beach offers some unique slides as well as a wave pool, and multiple kiddie pool areas with fun water features. Wild Water in Surfside Beach is one of the area’s top attractions offering some of the best tube slides, speed slides and mat slides you’ll find on the Strand. Wild Water also has go-karts, mini-golf, kiddie attractions and much more.

1. The Beach

The white sandy beaches and the refreshing Atlantic Ocean are why so many people come to Myrtle Beach. Let the children dig and play in the sand and swim and boogie-board in the ocean. Be sure to cover the kids with sunscreen every hour or so to avoid pesky (and possibly dangerous) sunburns. Playing on the beach might just be the most memorable portion of your vacation for both you and your kids. Don’t forget to take pictures and capture your incredible Myrtle Beach vacation for years to come.

Start planning your family vacation to Myrtle Beach soon! If you’re bringing the kids, be sure you check out these great kid-friendly attractions mentioned here. If you would like more information about kid-friendly Myrtle Beach hotels or to see more attractions, visit MyrtleBeach.com.
