About One More Sunshine:
” I am a working mom of two young girls, ages three and one. I have always loved crafting since I was a little girl, and recently found motivation to put my hobby to good use. Last year my three year old was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called pseudoachondroplasia (a skeletal dysplasia) and decided to setup an Etsy shop to help raise money toward medical research on the condition. I upcycle children’s books to make adorable clothespin clips that can be used for kids’ party favors, treat bag clips or decorations. They are also a fun way to display children’s school or artwork in the home, using twine or ribbon.
I am donating 20 percent of all my site proceeds to The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. More details on this can be found at www.supportPSACH.com.
Oh….and the store name. If you have toddlers, you know how they will try to stall bedtime as long as possible. My daughter’s bedtime song is You are My Sunshine, and she will continually ask for ‘one more sunshine Mommy” until I must just close her door. The phrase makes me smile so I would like it to live on forever, as I know she will not ask this of me forever.”
I received these Lego Character Clothespin Magnets, free of charge, for review purposes. I LOVE these Clothespin Magnets! My son is a big Lego fan so I was lucky to get the Lego Character Magnets. They are so handy for hanging school papers, calendars, awards and more on our refrigerator and the back of our front door. You can tell they are handmade with love. Each clothespin is perfectly covered with the character art and the magnet glued into place with care. They come is any character you can think of. She will even do special orders!
My 2 favorite things about these Clothespin Magnets:
1. They are upcycled from children’s books or thrift store treasures. I love hearing about upcycled products. It makes kids think about where things come from when you explain it to them.
2. One More Sunshine is donating 20% of sales to University of Texas Medical school to Support PSACH.
What is PSACH? Pseudoachondroplasia (PSACH) is a rare bone growth disorder – a skeletal dysplasia (aka dwarfing condition) – that affects between 1 in 50,000 -100,000 people (exact prevalence is unknown). Diagnosis is often delayed, as physical features and growth are normal in the first year or two of life and radiological features are identified only after around one year of age.
