The wonderful people at Around the Collar created an amazing and personalized leather collar for one of our three furbabies, our biggest furry family member Luna a beautiful Australian Blue Heeler. I thought Luna deserved something as our chihuahua always gets too much attention from visitors because well he’s a chihuahua small and cute, yappy though but the kids always love him. However Luna is the one that is quite affectionate and once people get to know her the love her. She is a working dog as is the nature of her breed where she’s happiest working so she goes to work every day with my husband. She rides in his truck with him from job site to job site, protecting his truck , playing with approved visitors and being an amazing work dog. You might not even realize she was in my husband’s truck unless you went up too close to his truck then she would pop her head up to let you know she was there :). She’s all around a wonderful family dog who adores my hubby but loves attention from all of us and any of my daughter’s friends who come to visit.
I had only two requirements 1) that the collar not be a light color or pink but that it be a little feminine as Luna is a girl and 2) that her collar fit nicely that it doesn’t come off easily (which her previous one did all the time) and not be too tight.
Here’s what the created for us!
I absolutely love the dark grape purple leather (yes I’m sure you all know I love purple) with the added bling of the flowers and swarovski crystals. Yes the crystals are pink but I love it, it’s not overly feminine but you know Luna is girl and now she has well fitted, well made, tough yet pretty collar!
It looks fabulous on her as you can see below!
The collar is extremely well made and it fits so well it never comes off when I take her out for a walk which believe me is no small thing as other collars were either too tight or too loose no matter what I did. Luna has been wearing her creation for a couple of weeks now and it shows no signs of wear or tear at all and it’s easy to clean!
