2 Quick Steps to Losing Stretch Marks

It can be terribly distressing to find that you have stretch marks but are not sure what to do about losing them. Pregnancy, sudden weight loss, sudden weight gain, or even heredity can be the culprit behind the marks. There’s no need to lose sleep over it, though, because stretch marks can be lightened and in some cases even removed altogether depending on your skin type. Here are several steps to losing your stretch marks and having your flawless skin back in no time:

 

1) Increase your intake of Vitamin C. Vitamin C has been known clear the complexion and clear stretch marks. Drink more lemon juice and orange juice at the start of your day. Also include fruits and vegetables like carrots, leafy greens, and tomatoes that help to keep your skin looking clear and blemish free. Fish and poultry also help to replenish your skin cells and give your skin that necessary glow.

 

Foods that are high is salt and sugar tend to lead to skin problems and blemishes. If you want your skin to be truly healthy then remember that you are what you eat. What goes inside your mouth will start to show itself on your skin. So be wise and priorities what should be on your shopping list and what should end up on your plate. In general, an abundance of good fruit and veggies does wonders. However these should not be processed, either washed and eaten raw or cooked at home where you can monitor what goes into the making of it.

 

2) Moisturize with oils. Use Vitamin E oil on your skin if you are trying to brighten your complexion and clear stretch marks. If you’re not the type of person who likes to feel the slip and slime of only using oil, then you can try adding some to your normal moisturizing lotion for better results. Vitamin E oil is known to work especially well of curing stretch marks of women who have been pregnant. Essential oils like lavender, rose, frankincense, geranium, myrrh, and olive oil also do wonders for healing stretch marks. Other oils likeBio Oil have been created using a culmination of essential oils like calendula, lavender, rosemary, and chamomile. Oils are best used on the skin within five to ten minutes of coming out of the shower.
